Background

Sanden Corporation was founded in Japan on 1943. They employ approximately 10.000 people (15.000 including Joint-Ventures) across the globe in 59 business operations spread across 23 countries. Their main business sectors include Automotive Equipment, Food & Beverage and Living & Environmental System.

They act in Europe under an European Automotive Business Division (EABD). This is one of the leading suppliers of compressors and components for automotive air conditioning and it consists of multiple site locations including several offices (UK & Germany) and manufacturing locations (Poland & France). They are involved as well in CO2 Heat Pump business development for residential & tertiary applications as new business for diversification outside the automotive market.

Total headcount in Europe ~1500 with sales turnover sales ~550 M€.
