EFQM’s First Business Excellence Forum in Iran

On the 16th and 17th of December 2017, EFQM Iran Representative in collaboration with EFQM, held their first Business Excellence Forum as well as the first EFQM Iran Award Ceremony in Tehran, Iran.

The topics during this first Business Excellence Forum in Iran ranged from “Leadership Excellence for 21st Century leading in Context” to “EFQM leading Excellence globally in Iran” as well as “Why Iranian companies need quality standards to ease the business with Europe and Globally” among many other topics that were presented by Leon Tossaint of EFQM, Prof. Saeed Sohrabpour of Iran EFQM, Dr. Mahdi Shafieezadeh of Iran EFQM, Dr. Christian Forstner of EFQM, Dr. Stefan Hagman of EFQM, Mahnaz Faghfuri of SIEMENS, Sebastian Salicru, writer of Leadership from Australia.

In this two-day forum, about 400 Iranian delegates from about 300 Iranian companies met in one of the most prestigious conference venues in Iran with a tremendous media and broadcasting coverage including interviews of Leon Tossaint, of EFQM, Prof Saeed Sohrabpour, of Iran EFQM and Nafiseh Payani, of Iran EFQM.

EFQM value for guiding Iranian companies’ passion toward excellence was communicated effectively through the first Iran EFQM Award Forum. The assessment results and recognition of 4 Iran EFQM Award nominees that underwent a strict round of Recognized for Excellence assessment as well as about 10 Committed to Excellence assessments that were conducted successfully through invited assessors from Europe were unveiled and celebrated in this forum.

Iran EFQM awardees can enter the Global EFQM Award assessments. Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company and Mobarakeh Steel company were both recognised as the winners of Iran EFQM Award were invited to  join the Global EFQM Award assessment programme.
